Printing is all jumbled

The last few prints have resulted in this ‘mess’ where the filament is all jumbled up. I changed the print speed and height per recommendation in other posts. I have also restored factory settings and the homing bed. Why is this happening and how do I remedy it?!
Unfortunately I cannot add a picture to this question.
