New filament doesn’t work
-
Hi, I’m new here and I would love your help.
I’m running on a Tina to ask, which worked fine as long as I use the filament that came with the printer. I recently ran out so I bought a new filament. That is an EPLA silk.
It states that the required bed temperature is around 50°C and nozzle temperature around 200°C
I set the appropriate temperatures on the Tina 2S and the unit achieve those temperatures. When I select any file and download the silk version, the temperatures are reset and when printing starts the filament does not stick to the bed, which means the item does not print properly.
The item simply slides on the bed and printing is lost.I feel like the files have an embedded temperature in them, which override the device temperature and result in error
Anyone have a solution to this?

It is not your filament but you need to use all purpose glue on the base -
That’s actually not how it works. The printer uses a separate first-layer temperature setting. If you change the temperature right at the beginning of the print, you are only modifying the first-layer temperature, which means the temperature for the remaining layers may not update accordingly.
If you adjust the temperature directly on the machine, please make sure to wait until the first layer has finished printing before changing the value. Otherwise, the modification may not apply as expected.
Additionally, ambient room temperature and the specific filament material can indeed affect the final printing result. To achieve the most optimal performance, we strongly recommend printing a PLA temperature tower test file to determine the ideal temperature for your filament.
You can find the instructions here:
How to determine the optimal printing temperatureThe download link is located at the bottom of the document. Please copy the files to your TF card and start printing.
If you don’t have access to a computer, there’s no need to worry. The package includes an adapter, allowing you to transfer files to the TF card using your phone, so you can proceed smoothly without any difficulty.
